Overview

Cooper Alison-Mayne joined the Law Offices of Dale K. Galipo in March 2023. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the US District Court in Colorado. In this role, he honed his legal research and writing skills by drafting orders on a wide variety of matters, including numerous cases involving police misconduct.

He earned his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where he expanded his knowledge in civil rights and police misconduct through a range of specialized courses. During law school, he interned at the Los Angeles Alternate Public Defender's office. This internship provided him with valuable experience in managing the discovery process and drafting essential legal documents such as motions to suppress. He also worked as a research assistant for the UCLA COVID-19 Behind Bars Data Project, where he contributed to a comprehensive analysis of the United States justice system's response to the coronavirus in jails and prisons.

In addition to his legal experience, Cooper has a strong background in technology and project management. He has developed multiple web-based applications, including a platform that streamlined communication between prisoners and their lawyers via an automated messaging service.

Cooper takes great pride in joining the Law Offices of Dale K. Galipo, where he is dedicated to advocating for accountability and justice on behalf of those who have experienced police misconduct.
